Autumn, who can’t be seduced by the vibrant colours, high contrast light and fresh air tainted with the faint smell of wood smoke… have I created a picture in your mind’s eye?
For me, it’s about getting up close to see the detail in the mass of autumnal colours, mainly created by the dying leaves and vegetation. A bit sad really when you think about it… Autumn is actually about things coming to an end! I see it more as a beautiful transition between summer and winter.
Like so many people, I love to get out there, usually with my camera and usually accompanied by my husband, who’s just as keen as me to capture the ever changing light and deepening colours before they blend into winter.
